FALLON, Nev., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Sharron Angle, the Tea Party favorite who tried to unseat U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada, says she may run for office again in 2012.
"I will always be involved in politics. I have a lot of options next cycle. Lots of options," Angle told the Lahontan Valley News.
In an interview published Saturday, Angle also looked back on her campaign against Reid. She said she was surprised to be deserted by some Republicans.
"It surprised me a little bit, having Republicans for Reid with two mayors coming out in opposition," she said. "That was the most surprising blow. I always thought in the end there is some kind of loyalty, but they shifted loyalties to the fellow who could deliver the pork."
Angle served eight years in the state Assembly. She has lost races for Congress and the state Senate.
She said she might make another try for the state Senate. If U.S. Rep. Dean Heller decides to run against Sen. John Ensign in the Republican primary, she might run for his seat.
