DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- A man involved in a car crash last month that killed the mayor of Moraine, Ohio, shot and killed his brother before taking his own life, police said.

Investigators said Mark A. Myles Jr., 21, used a semi-automatic handgun to kill his brother, Kevin Valentine, 28, during an argument at their home in Dayton, Ohio, that turned violent Tuesday afternoon, the Dayton Daily News reported. As horrified family members watched, Myles then shot himself in the head.

Relatives said the brothers were arguing about a grocery purchase.

Myles was the driver of a car that hit Mayor Bob Rosencrans Oct. 15 while Rosencrans was waiting at an intersection.

No charges had been filed. Police said the investigation into the crash would continue despite Myles's death.

Brandy Rosencrans, the mayor's daughter, learned of the new tragedy Tuesday evening.

"We're shocked by all of it," she said. "We feel for their family. They have our sympathies."
