Republicans win big in Wyoming

CHEYENNE, Wyo., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- In a gubernatorial landslide, Wyoming Republican Matt Mead trounced Democrat Leslie Petersen by a margin of 72 percent to 25 percent, returns showed.

Democratic Party officials didn't have a strong candidate to step in for popular term-limited Democratic Gov. Dave Freudenthal, The New York Times said.
