CHICAGO, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Former U.S. President George W. Bush promoted his upcoming book and shared some self-effacing humor during a speaking engagement in Chicago.
Bush told the finance trade association conference about "Decision Points," his book due out Dec. 9, and said he "would like to be remembered as a guy who had a set of priorities and was willing to live by those priorities," the Chicago Tribune reported Friday.
"I have written a book," Bush said. "This will come as quite a shock to some. They didn't think I could read, much less write," he joked.
Bush predicted President Obama would lose support in Congress after the upcoming midterm elections.
"The odds are, from a historical perspective, that the president is going to lose (congressional) seats. The question is how many," Bush said.
