NEWARK, N.J., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A Newark, N.J., judge says he's postponing a hearing for two men charged with killing five Newark boys in 1978 to allow a new attorney time to review evidence.

Judge Peter Vazquez said he would move the hearing to Dec. 7 because one of the defendants, Lee Anthony Evans, hired a new attorney two weeks ago.

Evans changed attorneys, releasing Michael Robbins, who was his lawyer since March, and hiring Bukie A. Adetula, The (Newark) Star-Ledger reported.

Evans is currently out on bail.

The other defendant, Philander Hampton, has a separate lawyer.

Hampton and Evans are accused of luring the boys into an abandoned house and then setting it ablaze.
