ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- A St. Paul, Minn., man faces assault and terroristic threat charges for allegedly confining his girlfriend in a dog kennel and attacking her, documents show.
The Ramsey County attorney's office charged Luke Brandon Scott, 29, Tuesday with first- and second-degree assault, terroristic threats and false imprisonment for allegedly holding his girlfriend captive and beating her after she arrived at his home Sunday night, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Thursday.
The woman, identified only by her initials C.E.H., went to Scott's house and, after saying she was breaking up with him, he hit her in the face, the complaint says.
She complied when he later ordered her into a large dog kennel.
"C.E.H. said she went into the kennel because she thought Scott would stop hitting her if she obeyed him," the complaint said. "Scott locked the door and kept her in the kennel for 10 to 15 minutes.
"At another point, Scott held a large, BB-gun revolver up to C.E.H.'s eye and told her he would shoot her in the eye and the BB pellet would go into her brain," the complaint said.
She called police after Scott let her go and she walked to a nearby gas station. She required surgery to close "multiple facial and mouth lacerations," the complaint said.
