WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- The U.S. government Thursday announced an agreement it signed in Washington with South Korea to prevent nuclear smuggling.

The agreement will broaden the two countries' cooperative efforts to enhance the security of container cargo, the NNSA said.

The agreement will allow the NNSA, through its Second Line of Defense Program's Megaports Initiative, to work with Korean Customs to install radiation detection equipment and other infrastructure at terminals in the Port of Busan, South Korea.
