NEW YORK, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- A judge Tuesday ordered former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's daughter to do community service for her shoplifting attempt earlier this month.
Caroline Giuliani, 20, a Harvard University senior, attempted to swipe $100.50 worth of beauty products from a Sephora store on Aug. 4, the New York Daily News and the New York Post reported.
Giuliani was ordered to collect trash for the city's Department of Sanitation, and while it was not clear when her service will be rendered, it must be completed before Nov. 4, her next court date.
Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Jennifer Schecter told Giuliani during her two-minute appearance, during which she admitted no guilt, "Stay out of trouble and avoid re-arrest. In six months the matter will be dismissed and sealed."
The newspapers said Giuliani refused to answer questions from reporters, including whether she felt remorse for the incident.
