BALTIMORE, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- A Maryland ex-con faced a murder charge Sunday after he allegedly stabbed one person to death and injured seven others at his high school reunion, police said
James Dixon, 28, got into some kind of dispute at a Cherry Hill arena Saturday during a reunion of students from Walbrook High School, officials said.
"One individual basically went on a stabbing rampage," Police agent Donny Moses told The Baltimore Sun.
The manager of the arena said the 600 people at the event appeared to be having a good time until the deadly altercation broke out. The reunion involved Walbrook graduating classes from 1995 through 2005.
The Sun said Dixon had recently gotten out of prison after doing about six years for burglary. The man who was killed, Carrington McNutt, also had a criminal record and had survived a shooting at a Baltimore nightclub two years earlier.
