PERUGIA, Italy, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Bloggers say they've translated from Italian to English and posted online the Italian judge's 397-page report on his sentencing of U.S. student Amanda Knox.
Seattlepi.com reported it's the first English translation of Judge Giancarlo Massei's sentencing report in the trial of Knox, the 23-year-old college student from Seattle imprisoned in Italy after being convicted of killing her British roommate in a drug-fueled sex game.
The document provides the most detailed record of witnesses, evidence and testimony in the nine-month trial and gives the judge's reasoning for finding Knox, 23, her Italian ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, 26, and African immigrant Rudy Guede guilty of murdering Meredith Kercher.
Kercher, a 21-year-old British exchange student, was killed in the apartment she and Knox shared with other college students in Perugia, Italy, in November 2007.
Knox, serving a 26-year sentence, has appealed and her case is to begin in the fall.
The 12 bloggers who translated Massei's report and posted it live on four continents and include translators, lawyers, a doctor and a molecular biologist, the Web site said.
Seattle translator Peggy Ganong led the effort, which took five months.
