Obama to discuss BP oil spill

WASHINGTON, June 1 (UPI) -- U.S. President Obama will speak to the nation Tuesday about the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Obama's address will follow a meeting with the BP Oil Spill Commission, the White House said.

Obama also will receive his daily briefings and meet with senior advisers, the White House daily schedule indicated.

In the evening, Obama will meet with President Alan Garcia of Peru.
