NORTHFIELD, Minn., March 17 (UPI) -- Authorities in Ramsey County, Minn., allege an area middle school teacher bit off a portion of a man's ear in a drunken altercation at a restaurant.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press said Monday that Susan Mukuhi Mwarabu, a sixth grade teacher at Northfield Middle School, allegedly attacked a male patron at an eatery in St. Paul after an altercation involving one of the teacher's friends.
Authorities allege in a criminal complaint the 33-year-old victim, identified only as C.R.H., was eating with a group of friends early Sunday morning when one of his friends made a comment to one of the women accompanying Mwarabu.
After Mwarabu made advances to the unidentified friend of C.R.H., she allegedly licked the victim's ear once before biting a portion of it off, the complaint states.
A doctor who treated C.R.H. after the incident informed the victim that part of his damaged ear would likely grow back, the Pioneer Press reported.
Mwarabu, 30, is facing a felony assault charge for the incident.
