Suspect fled through toilet hole

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- A 79-year-old woman allegedly aided her grandson after he escaped from a jail by unbolting a toilet from his cell wall, officials in Osceola County, Fla., said.

Regina Ralph was arrested Monday on charges related to the escape of Michael Rigby, 21, who removed a toilet and climbed down the hole, WKMG-TV, Orlando, reported Tuesday.

Rigby, charged with numerous felonies, including attempted murder, got past two jail fences without being noticed and then fled to Ralph's home a few miles away where she allegedly gave him food and clothing, authorities said.

Rigby's father, Brian Rigby of Orlando, was arrested Sunday for allegedly giving his son money and a red four-door Mitsubishi Mirage to get away, said Twis Lizasuain, a spokeswoman for the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
