Witnesses told the Times the suspect fatally shot Brown during a Friday afternoon class change.

"I looked over and heard this big 'pow,' like a balloon popping," student Janelle Lawrence told the newspaper. She said she went to Brown, who was laying motionless on the floor.

"I saw (the suspect) and he walks up, and he's very calm," Aaron Sims, 15, said . "He came up from behind Todd, pulled the gun out of his jacket pocket, put it to the back of his head and shot it. Then he lowered the gun, cocked it again and walked away like nothing happened ... creepy."
