Orszag: Daughter born out of wedlock

WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- White House Budget Director Peter Orszag acknowledged Wednesday he is the father of a daughter born out of wedlock.

Orszag said his former girlfriend, Claire Milonas, founder of a New York venture capital firm, is the mother of the baby, Tatiana Zoe, whose Nov. 17 birth came months after the couple ended their relationship, The Hill reported.

Orszag is engaged to ABC News reporter Bianna Golodryga.

In a statement, Orszag and Milonas said they had been in a relationship until spring.

"In November, Claire gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Although we are no longer together, we are both thrilled she is happy and healthy, and we would hope that everyone will respect her privacy," the statement read.

The statement came in response to questions about the child from the New York Post, The Hill said.
