WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- A third person not on the guest list for U.S. President Obama's first state dinner in November managed to enter the event, the Secret Service said Monday.

A Secret Service spokesman didn't provide the identity or other information about the dinner crasher, who entered separately from the uninvited couple, Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who captured headlines for penetrating security at the Nov. 24 event to honor Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife. The Washington Post reported late Monday the third crasher gained access to the event with the Indian delegation.

The newspaper said a congressional source identified the third crasher as Carlos Allen, a Washington party promoter. However, the newspaper said Allen had previously denied knowing anything about the dinner.

"The subject traveled from a local hotel, where the official Indian delegation was staying, and arrived at the dinner with the group, which was under the responsibility of the Department of State," the agency said in a statement. "This individual went through all required security measures along with the rest of the official delegation at the hotel, and boarded a bus/van with the delegation guests en route to the White House."

In its statement, the Secret Service said new changes would be implemented to prevent a repeat, FoxNews.com reported.

The agency said none of the information it received about the third person not on the dinner guest list indicated "this individual went through the receiving line or had contact with the president or first lady."
