Police investigating fraternity death

EAST LANSING, Mich., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Police are investigating the death of a Michigan State University student found unconscious at his Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity bedroom, authorities say.

Brian McMillen's roommate discovered the 22-year-old Saturday at 5:39 a.m. on his bedroom couch not breathing. After the roommate called 911, McMillen was treated by the East Lansing Fire Department, then transported to Sparrow Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Detroit Free Press reported Monday.

There was no organized event that night, but McMillen, fraternity president, David McCalla and other fraternity brothers were drinking and "hanging out" that night.

A toxicology report will be reviewed, said East Lansing Police Capt. Kim Johnson. No foul play is suspected, the newspaper said.

McMillen planned to graduate in spring after studying chemistry and environmental soil sciences, said fraternity president McCalla.
