Va. woman accused of making bomb threats

SUFFOLK, Va., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- A 48-year-old woman in Suffolk, Va., is facing charges she threatened to bomb multiple locations, including a local high school.

Suffolk city spokeswoman Debbie George said Remonia Yvonne Hines is facing five felony counts stemming from recent bomb threats received by Nansemond River High School, a local Walgreen's pharmacy and a business in Chesapeake, the Newport News (Va.) Daily Press reported Thursday.

Specifics regarding the threats or a possible motive were not reported.

The Daily Press said if convicted, Hines could be forced to pay restitution to the sites targeted by the bomb threats. The possible restitution payments would cover any personnel and equipment costs or losses the sites endured as a result of the threats.
