MIAMI, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- An employee at a Miami Taco Bell was wounded early Tuesday when a man angry about being denied service shot at workers leaving the restaurant.

Police said the man had been told twice the restaurant was closed, once when he drove up to the drive-through window at 3:40 a.m. and again by the manager when he came to the front door, The Miami Herald reported.

"He purposely waited in the parking lot until employees exited the store, at which point he started to discharge his weapon," said Willie Moreno, a spokesman for Miami police.

Police released security video footage showing the man driving up to the window in a white SUV.

The wounded employee, a woman, was said to be recovering.
