PITTSBURGH, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- A pregnant aerobics teacher wounded in a shooting at a gym near Pittsburgh is suing the estate of the alleged gunman, George Sodini, authorities said.
Mary Beth Primis of Coraopolis, Pa., was 10 weeks pregnant when Sodini allegedly entered her classroom and opened fired Aug. 4, killing three women and wounding several others, including Primis, before killing himself.
Primis, who is seeking $175,000, suffered emotional and physical damage and remains at risk of a miscarriage, said her lawsuit, filed Monday in Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
The lawsuit was the seventh to be filed against Sodini's estate by victims and families of victims in the shooting at LA Fitness in Collier Township, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Monday.
