Officials say the strategic partnership is part of an effort to strengthen communication and collaboration between Ukraine and Europol on issues concerning terrorism, drug trafficking and threats from transnational organized crime.

Marmazov and officials from Europol "reached a consensus on the identification of definitions and principles put in the agreement (and) outlined a procedure of the agreement's coming into operation," the release said.
