NEW DELHI, March 19 (UPI) -- India is taking steps to prevent and check the possibility of a nexus between security forces and terrorists, Interior Minister Shivraj Patil said Wednesday.
He told Parliament security forces were taking measures including verification of character and antecedents at the time or recruitment, and internal vigilance and surveillance to prevent the creation of a nexus.

Patil said a few isolated cases of subversion of force personnel have been detected.
"It would be inappropriate to draw any general conclusion of any nexus from such isolated cases," he said.
