AJAX, Ontario, July 23 (UPI) -- An argument during a party at a Durham, Ontario, church basement allegedly led to the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy, police say.
About 100 people were partying in the basement of St. Nedela Macedonian Orthodox Church in Ajax, Durham, when an argument broke out in the parking lot at 1:20 a.m. Friday, the Toronto Sun reported.
The teen was shot and several men got into a vehicle and drove away.
A friend of the victim was in the process of trying to get him into a car to take him to a hospital when emergency services and police arrived at the church, the newspaper said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say no arrests had been made.
