GAZA CITY, Gaza, March 18 (UPI) -- Palestinian militants in Gaza fired a rocket into the northern Negev Thursday killing a migrant worker, the Israeli military said.
The rocket that killed the 31-year-old man from Thailand was the third attack in less than 24 hours, Israel's Ynetnews reported.
Wednesday night a rocket exploded in an open area of Sderot, several hours after another rocket landed in the region.
Al-Qaida-affiliated Ansar al-Suna Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack that killed the migrant worker.
Thursday's rocket was launched while the European Union's foreign affairs chief was visiting Gaza, Israel's Haaretz newspaper reported.
Briton Catherine Aston crossed into the Gaza Strip from Israel about an hour before the attack occurred, Haaretz says.
More than 100 rockets have been fired from Gaza into Israel since January 2009, the military said.
