WALTHAM, Mass., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Traffic came to a complete shutdown on I-95 in Waltham, Massachusetts following a massive wreck involving at least 20 vehicles Sunday.
The pileup may have been caused by heavy snowfall, according to Massachusetts State Police.
There are multiple reported injuries, but the extent of those injuries is not yet known. Fire rescue and EMS teams have responded to the scene.
Witnesses said visibility on the roads was low, and photos from social media show at least one of the vehicles involved is a tractor-trailer.
Boston has received more than 10 inches of snow so far this weekend. This brings the total snowfall to 95.7 inches this season, according to the National Weather Service. Waltham is located 13 miles outside Boston.
