Police said Bradley William Stone should be considered armed and dangerous. All of the victims, which also include a seventh person who was seriously injured, had a familial relationship with Stone, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.

Stone is 5-foot, 10-inches tall, 195 pounds and has red or auburn hair and wears a beard and mustache. He is known to walk with a cane or walker and may be wearing beige or green military fatigues.

The Philadelphia Magazine reported Stone is a former United States Marine who filed for divorce from in 2009. Stone targeted his former wife Nicole and others in the attack, the magazine reported.

Original story follows:

Police surrounded a home in suburban Philadelphia on Monday after at least four people were found dead in three separate shootings. Authorities said the shootings are related to a domestic situation.

CNN reported that the gunman killed his former wife and three other family members at different locations. Officials originally said five people were shot and killed.

The shootings started about 4 a.m. in Lower Salford Township, located north of Philadelphia. The second and third shootings happened the nearby towns of Lansdale and Souderton. A witness to the first shooting told CBS3 she heard a commotion right before gun shots.

"I heard four gunshots, and I heard the kids screaming, 'Mommy, no! We want Mom!' the woman said. "And I ran into my son's room and looked out the window, and he was actually taking the kids in the car and leaving."

The woman said the suspect took the children, who were in their pajamas and not wearing coats. They were later found a short distance away. It is not clear if they were harmed.

Local schools were put on lockdown after police moved into the area, and a SWAT team was seen entering a home in Souderton. Witnesses think police set off a stun grenade, which produces a loud noise as a distraction. It is unclear if the suspect is still at large.
