CHICAGO, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A 48-year-old man from Westmont, Ill., is charged with interstate stalking for allegedly videotaping ESPN reporter Erin Andrews in the nude, the FBI said.
The Los Angeles FBI said insurance executive Michael David Barrett is accused of altering the peepholes on hotel rooms that Andrews was staying at in at least two states in order to take nude videos of the sports journalist, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday.
The FBI said in a criminal complaint that Barrett allegedly posted eight of those videos online, causing emotional pain for Andrews, 31.
Barrett was arrested Friday at Chicago's O'Hare Airport following a lengthy investigation, the Sun-Times reported.
An unidentified relative of Barrett said the allegations against the Illinois resident were shocking given Barrett's personality.
"He's a normal, upper-middle class, nice guy," the relative told the Sun-Times. "It seems so strange. In my wildest dreams, this is unfathomable."
