Man, 19, allegedly drives dead pal around

LELAND, N.C., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- A North Carolina man, 19, faces obstruction of justice charges for driving his deceased passenger around for hours before notifying police, authorities said.

John Ferguson, 23. of Leland, N.C. apparently died of a drug overdose Wednesday, pending an autopsy's determination of the cause of death, the Wilmington (N.C.) Star News reported.

Eric Len Henry, Jr., 19, of Winnabow was brought to jail and released on a $500 bond for having driven the deceased Ferguson around instead of taking him to the hospital, said Brunswick County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Beth Boling.
