NEW YORK, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Police raided properties in New York City Monday as part of an investigation into a terror suspect, authorities said.
The FBI was tracking the suspect, who was not named, Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y., told ABC News. No arrests were made, police said.
"Concern grew as he met with a group of individuals in Queens over the weekend," King said. "The FBI went to court late last night for an emergency warrant to conduct the raids this morning."
A resident of the neighborhood told ABC the police activity started at about 2 a.m.
NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelley said the raid was part of an ongoing investigation that involved days of surveillance.
There were no bombs or bomb-making materials found on the property.
A senior Democratic Senate aide said the Senate Intelligence and Homeland Security and Government Affairs committees were briefed.
