Clothes said not from missing S.F. Bay boy

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- The foster parents of a missing San Francisco Bay area boy said clothing found by searchers did not belong to the child.

A child's sock and a gray sweatshirt were discovered Sunday along a road in Oakland, less than a mile from where 5-year-old Hasanni Campbell was reportedly last seen, the San Francisco Chronicle said Monday.

But the garments did not match anything in Hasanni's wardrobe, foster parents Louis Ross and Jennifer Campbell told reporters.

Ross and Campbell had been arrested in the disappearance but were released after prosecutors determined there was not enough evidence to file charges.

Oakland police said they would analyze the clothing to make certain it was not connected to Hasanni's disappearance, the Chronicle reported.
