Greek foreign minister rebukes Turkey

ATHENS, Greece, July 28 (UPI) -- Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis rebuked Turkey for a provocative policy of border violations of the Aegean Sea and air space, officials said Tuesday.

Addressing a meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Brussels Monday, Bakoyannis said Turkey, as an EU candidate, should respect the principles of international law and good-neighborly relations with the existing EU member state of Greece, the Athens News Agency reported.

In her interview with Sunday's Eleftherotypia, Bakoyannis said Turkey is obliged to respect EU standards and rules and added Europe "is no place for bullies," the Kathimerini daily said.
