ORLANDO, Fla., July 17 (UPI) -- An adult male has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old boy at a water park at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., police say.
The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel said Friday that investigators suspect Amazon.com employee David Eugene Thomas, whose age was not reported, allegedly may have molested more than six children prior to his arrest.
The alleged molestation of the teenage boy at the resort's Typhoon Lagoon marked the third time a sexual-related incident took place at the water park in July.
When combined with reported molestation or indecent exposure incidents at the resort's Blizzard Beach and Aquatica attractions, more than 12 children have been allegedly victimized in the last four months.
Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger attempted to downplay the recent incidents and would not comment on possible security upgrades at the tourist site.
"This is a broader societal issue," Finger told the Sentinel. "We're focused on identifying inappropriate behavior and reporting that to law-enforcement."
