Lawyer wants Anthony trial moved to Miami

ORLANDO, Fla., May 5 (UPI) -- Casey Anthony can't get a fair trial in Orlando in the death of her daughter, said her lawyers, who want the trial moved to Miami-Dade County.

"The local coverage has been so constant and at times so inflammatory that members of the local community have already formed their opinion without hearing one piece of evidence," said lead defense lawyer Jose Baez.

Baez officially sought the change in venue Monday in a filing with Orange (County) Circuit Judge Stan Strickland, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Tuesday.

Anthony, 23, is charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie, whose remains were found in woods near Anthony's home last December, five months after she was reported missing.

A jail guard who was with Anthony when Caylee's remains were found was to be deposed this week, WKMG-TV, Orlando, reported Tuesday. Guard Tammy Unser relayed information about Anthony's reaction to detectives, which may have violated Anthony's civil rights, Baez said.

Anthony's first degree murder trial tentatively is scheduled for October.
