4 pilots reprimanded for suggestive video

OCEANA, Va., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Three Navy fighter pilots based in Virginia and their commanding officer have been disciplined for a "sexually suggestive" video of a female officer.

The woman was filmed surreptitiously as she ate dinner on board the Navy carrier Theodore Roosevelt, The Virginian-Pilot reported. The video, edited to be suggestive, was shown during a "Fo'c'sle Follies," a humorous awards presentation traditional among carrier fighter pilot groups.

The junior officers, members of Strike Fighter Squadron 31 based in Oceana, Va., received non-punitive letters of reprimand. One of the three was also ordered to return to the United States.

Commander Daniel Buckon was given a punitive letter of reprimand that could be a barrier to further promotion, The Navy Times reported.

Lt. Sean Robertson, a Navy spokesman, said the woman depicted in the video was not at the "Fo'c'sle Follies." She asked to see the video after hearing about it.
