HOUSTON, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A 14-year-old Texas teen who will graduate with a math degree next month says he isn't doing anything other students couldn't do if they applied themselves.
David Levy will be adding an associates degree from San Jacinto College to his CV next month and is already taking engineering classes at the University of Houston to go along with the degree from the University of South Alabama that he earned at age 10.
"I'm a hard worker," Levy told the Houston Chronicle. "It's not like I'm anything special. If anyone has the same determination, they could do it, too."
The Chronicle said Friday that Levy, who was reading "Hamlet" when he was 4 years old, and reportedly taught himself trigonometry using a textbook as a guide.
Levy has his eye on a career in the space program, just like father Bob Levy, an engineer who is part of the International Space Station team.
