U.S. presses Iran for info on missing man

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. State Department has repeated its call for Iran to cooperate in the case of Robert Levinson, who was last seen in the country more than 19 months ago.

"We once again ask Tehran to share any and all information uncovered about the Levinson case," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Friday. "And we ask anyone else who may have information about the case to contact us or the Levinson family via their Web site."

Levinson, a former FBI agent, disappeared from Iran's Kish Island. The State Department is "committed to determining Mr. Levinson's whereabouts and returning him safely to his family," McCormack said.

McCormack said officials didn't have any new information about Levinson.

"(We're) always looking for ways to maybe break loose that vital piece of information or the vital lead that may help us," he said.
