KABUL, Afghanistan, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Two men on a motorcycle sprayed acid on girls walking to school in Kandahar in southern Afghanistan, blinding two of them, police said Thursday.
Reports said at least two other people were injured.

Authorities told CNN they believe the Taliban was behind the attack though no one had claimed responsibility .
Girls were forbidden to attend school under the Taliban, which ruled the country from 1996 to 2001.
