Suspects arrested in home invasion ring

NEW YORK, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Six young men have been arrested in a series of home invasions in Suffolk County, N.Y., police say.

Police said the suspects, who range in age from 18 to 21, allegedly were behind six home invasions that typically resulted in home owners being bound while intruders ransacked their homes, Newsday reported Saturday.

One victim suffered a broken arm after being dragged down a flight of stairs by the perpetrators, police said.

County Executive Steve Levy praised area police for their swift response to the home invasions, which took place between Aug. 26 and Tuesday,

The six suspects were being held without bail and police were searching for two additional suspects, Newsday said.

The newspaper said cash, televisions and jewelry were among the goods stolen.
