NEW YORK, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- A New York man has been arrested on charges of selling stolen bras on the Internet.
George Tutaya, 41, allegedly used different eBay names to sell the $80,000 worth of Victoria's Secrets underwear that he allegedly received from a shoplifting ring, the New York Post reported.
Tutaya was arraigned on charges of possession of stolen property and, if convicted, faces a prison sentence of up to seven years.
"Trafficking in stolen goods on the Internet will no more be tolerated than fencing stolen property would be anywhere else," said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
Tutaya allegedly used eBay names such as "beautiquest" and "bestfordivas shopforless2" to market 2,000 brassieres, which normally sell retail from $40 to $80, as low as $25, the Post said.
