NEW YORK, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Two New York men have pleaded guilty to importing and selling counterfeit Colgate toothpaste that contained antifreeze and poisonous bacteria.
Saifoulaye Diallo, 51, Habib Bah, 48, pleaded guilty in a New York federal court to trafficking in counterfeit goods alongside wholesale importers Vidtape and Mabass Inc., the New York Post reported Friday.

The men admitted to importing more than 500,000 tubes of the counterfeit toothpaste -- which was sold at U.S. discount stores in 2006 and 2007 -- from China.
