WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is scheduled to address the Democratic National Convention in Denver later this month, a party source has confirmed.
The report in the Los Angeles Times, citing a senior Democrat familiar with convention planning, said Clinton will speak on Wednesday, Aug. 27, before the vice presidential choice and one day before Barack Obama is to officially accept the nomination. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York will address the delegates Aug. 26 and is expected to try to assure her supporters that their voice is being heard.
