SAN FRANCISCO, July 2 (UPI) -- A San Francisco judge placed a female passenger on probation for a wild outburst aboard a trans-Atlantic flight that forced her to be restrained.
The San Francisco Chronicle said Wednesday that court records showed Anne-Marie Kivinen, 38, pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor assault and was placed on two years of probation and ordered not to drink alcohol the next time she boards a flight.
Kivinen was charged with a felony charge of interfering with a flight crew after she lost control on a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to San Francisco last week.
The newspaper said Kivinen apparently got into a shouting match with another passenger and then turned her wrath on her fiance, whom she head-butted, and on crew members, who had to restrain her.
Even after having 45 minutes to cool off, the FBI's incident report said, Kivinen was riled enough that freed her arms and legs and stomped on the hand of a flight attendant who was trying to secure her, the Chronicle report said.
