WOBURN, Mass., June 26 (UPI) -- An Englishman was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole for the murders of his Massachusetts wife and infant daughter.
Neil Entwhistle, 29, was given two concurrent life sentences for the shootings of Rachel, 27, and the couple's 9-month-old daughter, Lillian Rose. He sat quietly and impassively throughout the proceedings as he had throughout his trial, the Boston Globe reported Thursday.
The jury took just 11 hours to convict the unemployed British computer engineer of two counts of first-degree murder.
Judge Diane Kottmyer also ordered that Entwhistle could not "profit in any way by the sale of his story either by book or otherwise to any media outlet." The trial has attracted attention on both sides of the Atlantic with its emotional and sometimes graphic testimony and other evidence.
