SEATTLE, June 15 (UPI) -- A University of Washington student has died after falling from a third-floor window of a fraternity house, officials say.

Kevin MacDonald, 21, of Kent, Wash., died at a Seattle hospital after hitting the concrete below headfirst, police said.

The Seattle Times reported Sunday that emergency crews were called to the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity house after MacDonald's body was found.

The incident appeared to be "a tragic accident," said Seattle police spokesman Mark Jamieson.

People who were in the house told police the student had been drinking earlier, Jamieson said. Seattle police were investigating in cooperation with university police.

A University of Washington student fell from a frat house in 2002. In that case, Brett Jensen died after falling about 30 feet from a deck at Pi Kappa Phi.
