Stripper forced to drop De La Hoya suit

NEW YORK, June 10 (UPI) -- A former stripper dropped her $25 million suit against Oscar De La Hoya after experts concluded photos of the boxing champ in drag had been digitally doctored.

Ex-stripper Milana Dravnel, 22, had sued De La Hoya for slander after he questioned the authenticity of her photographs showing the super welterweight champ wearing fishnets, high heels and a tutu. The pictures later made it onto the Internet and also into the New York Post's account of Dravnel's soon-to-air television interview with the CBS show "The Insider," The New York Daily News reported Tuesday.

De La Hoya now appears to have facts in his corner.

"Oscar's always claimed the photos were false," said Judd Burstein, the boxer's lawyer. "We had experts conclude that they were doctored. She was facing very large damages and so she agreed to drop the case ... The case would have been dismissed anyway."
