BRIDGEND, Wales, June 7 (UPI) -- Police say they are investigating the death of a man in Bridgend, South Wales, where 20 people are suspected of killing themselves in less than two years.
South Wales authorities have yet to say when the 26-year-old died or whether the case is being handled as a suspected suicide, The Times of London reported Saturday.
Christopher Jones, 23, last month was the 20th person to be found dead in Bridgend in a suspected suicide since January 2007, police said.
Councilor Christopher Michaelides said he thinks the 26-year-old was a friend of Sean Ress, 19, who was discovered dead suspended from a tree in April.
"I think he was upset by the suicides. He was a lad from a very good family," Michaelides said. "There are lots of rumors flying around, but we will have to wait until the coroner's verdict on these cases."
