BRUSSELS, June 6 (UPI) -- Two former members of the far-left Belgium terrorist group CCC are being held by Brussels police for having contact with other CCC members, authorities said.
Bertrand Sassoye and Pierre Carette, who both were sentenced to life imprisonment in 1988 and later paroled, had been in touch with each other and with other CCC members in violation of their parole, Flandersnews reported Friday.
Sassoye was paroled in July 2000 and Carette in October 2003.
The CCC carried out several bomb attacks in Belgium during the mid-1980's. The attacks were aimed at military and political targets.
