Man who killed at 11, back in jail

PONTIAC, Mich., June 1 (UPI) -- Nathaniel Abraham, who killed a man when he was 11, is back in a Michigan jail on a drug charge a year after being released from custody at age 21, police said.

Abraham was arrested Thursday on suspicion of drug possession and drug distribution, WDIV-TV reported Sunday. The unemployed suspect was being held on $250,000 bond.

Police allege Abraham had 254 pills believed to be Ecstasy tablets in his possession when he was taken into custody, the TV station reported.

Abraham -- one of the youngest people in the United States ever incarcerated for murder -- was released from juvenile detention last year when he turned 21, having served about 10 years for the shooting death of Ronnie Greene in Pontiac in 1997. WDIV-TV said that since his release Abraham had taken college classes, made speeches at churches and schools and recorded a rap album.
