HOLLYWOOD, May 28 (UPI) -- Republican presidential hopeful John McCain has less support in Hollywood than Democratic rival Barack Obama, figures show.
"I've given him the maximum I'm allowed in this cycle, and when he gets the nomination, I'll give him the maximum again," said Stein, who recently made a documentary about intelligent design.
"Hollywood is not Republican country. There are some of us here, but not enough to make a difference. I don't think Hollywood will be counted on to make a great deal of support for Senator McCain," Stein said.
In all, Obama has raised about $4 million from the movie, television and music industry, while McCain has only raised $636,000, Center for Responsive Politics figure show.
During McCain's run for president in 2000, he received donations from more high-profile superstars, moguls, writers and managers than this cycle, Politico said.
