Cote, an employee of Crescent Security Group, had been abducted Nov. 16, 2006. His body was recovered Saturday. His family was immediately informed when the body was found and then Wednesday when his identity was confirmed, the FBI said.

Cote's remains are in the United States and will be returned to his family, the FBI said.

The FBI previously identified the remains of five other kidnapped American contractors: Ronald J. Withrow of JPI Worldwide; John Roy Young, Paul Christopher Johnson-Reuben, and Joshua Mark Munns of CSG; and Austrian citizen Burt Nussbaumer.
